I was introduced to Cat Stevens at the beginning of his early fame. Tea for the Tillerman was played until it wore out on my college HiFi. I lost track of him when he disappeared in in 1979because I was busy with life-- job, marriage, and children. But his music and that voice is still haunting. By rejecting fame, he reclaimed his own soul. I can respect that. But I will never forget the early years, the sentiment in his music, and the loss of that voice.
